WELCOME TO Shinzō
Veterinary Cardiology
Heart is an Art.
Paint it with Science and Love.
About Us
ShinZō = Heart
Shinzō, which means ‘heart‘ in Japanese, provides veterinary cardiology services at Kota Damansara Veterinary Centre.
Our cardiology room is equipped with a top-notch ultrasound machine that enables strain echocardiography. However, ‘echocardiography isn’t everything.’ While echocardiography is a crucial aspect of cardiac examination, we emphasize that comprehensive history-taking and conventional physical examination are equally indispensable in investigating and managing diseases.
We are currently the only centre in Malaysia that performs V-clamp surgery in dogs with MMVD, offers transoesophageal echocardiography, and conducts interventional surgeries.
Our Concepts
As a cardiology referral center, we collaborate closely with referring veterinarians to diagnose, treat, and manage various cardiovascular diseases in dogs and cats, whether medically or surgically. These conditions encompass hypertension, heart failure, congenital heart defects, age-related heart diseases, heart muscle diseases, arrhythmias, and lung diseases. We strive to offer more advanced services to cure diseases, and if not possible, to better manage them.
Given the increasing concern of pet owners about their pets’ health, Shinzō’s cardiology room is designed to facilitate consultations conducted over a coffee table, creating a comfortable environment for both pets and their owners. This setup allows for more thorough discussions.
We also understand that every furkid differs in breed, size, lifestyle, behavior, etc. Therefore, we recommend treatment after considering all these factors to optimize management. We also advocate the idea of having a primary veterinarian for long-term management.
